Bay of Plenty Energy is your 100% New Zealand owned energy supplier. Based in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, they supply both gas and electricity to meet the needs of their home, business and farming customers. They have been supplying energy here for over 30 years and have a proud history of meeting the needs of their region.
With local electricity generation, utilising a mix of hydro, geothermal and natural gas co-generation technology, Bay of Plenty Energy is able to offer a high level of supply security to their customers. Additionally, because the majority of their generation is based within the Greater Bay of Plenty and close to where the energy is used, the impact of any dry-year power crisis or national transmission constraints are greatly reduced - minimising the risk of power shortages for their customers. They now supply both electricity and gas (where available) to customers throughout the Bay.
